In a bid to woo Brahmins forward of 2022 Uttar Pradesh meeting polls, the Bahujan Samaj Party might be launching a marketing campaign on Navratri competition. The marketing campaign which seeks to entice Brahmin voters might be spearheaded by Satish Chandra Mishra who has been holding district-wise conferences for the final two months.

Just a few days in the past, Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati had stated that Brahmins can be included within the core BSP’s core organisational construction in addition to on the zonal degree. The National General Secretary of the BSP SC Mishra has been holding district-wise conferences of Brahmin leaders at his residence in Lucknow. Every day, representatives from no less than one or two districts are assembly Mishra. On Tuesday, 73rd such assembly was held within the state capital.


According to a senior BSP chief, the get together goals to conclude all district-wise conferences earlier than Navratri because it plans to maintain conferences. The whole marketing campaign is being monitored and executed by BSP National General Secretary SC Mishra, whereas former minister Anant Mishra ‘Antu’, Nakul Dubey and Rangnath Mishra might be working with him within the group.

The determination to woo the Brahmin voters was taken after the current encounter of infamous gangster Vikas Dubey led to a palpable discontent locally, with some voters feeling sad with the state authorities over its perceived neglect of the Brahmin group. Looking to capitalise on the sentiment, Mayawati made bulletins promising the development of hospitals within the title of Brahmin icons as soon as elected to energy.

“Keeping in mind the shortcomings of the state and central governments amid Covid-19 pandemic, if BSP comes to power, we will create hospitals with modern facilities in the name of great saints. The BSP government during its tenure had launched several public interest schemes in the name of great saints of all classes and also named districts after them, which were later changed by the Samajwadi Party government due to their casteist mentality. This will be reinstated after we come to power,” information company ANI quoted the BSP supremo as saying.
