Bihar gangster-turned-politician Anand Mohan’s spouse Lovely and son Chetan joined Rashtriya Janta Dal (RJD) on Monday in Patna. Mohan is serving life sentence in reference to homicide of Gopalganj District Magistrate G Krishnaiah in 1994.
Local studies said that after becoming a member of RJD, Lovely stated that she alongside together with her son will attempt to “give best to the party and would discharge the responsibilities conferred upon them with utmost sincerity”.
Lovely had a couple of months in the past met senior leaders of the JD(U) that led to speculations that she might be a part of the ruling celebration.
Lovely’s husband Anand Mohan Singh, who was the chief of the then Bihar People’s Party (BPP), was accused of inciting a mob accompanying the cortege of a BPP chief to lynch Krishnaiah on December 5,1994. The BPP is now defunct.
