Content market startup Pepper Content has raised $4.2 million in Series A funding led by Lightspeed India, because it seems to develop into new classes reminiscent of audio and video content material and in addition into new geographies like Southeast Asia.

Founded in October 2017, the startup brings collectively content material creators and companies on its platform, selling freelance or gig careers for creators. Pepper Content says it has a base of over 30,000 content material writers, graphic designers, language specialists and editors on its platform.

It additionally works with over 400 clients, together with Amazon, Swiggy, Paytm, Max Bupa, Apollo Hospitals and Adobe amongst others.

“Our mission is to disrupt the entire content creation industry at scale and create a stronger, high quality, and more organised ecosystem for content creators,” mentioned Anirudh Singla, cofounder and CEO at Pepper Content. “Imagine us being able to build virtual content teams for any company globally.”

Pepper Content claims that creators on its platform have produced over 100,000 items of content material, and have earned over $400,000 in charges in the final two years. The firm added that in the final three months alone it has added over 150 enterprises and SMEs as clients, and is witnessing 25% month-on-month progress in revenues.
