Lahore: Firdous Begum, the well-known Pakistani veteran actress who shot to fame for her iconic position in 1970’s film Heer Ranjah’, handed away right here on Wednesday. She was 73. Firdous was shifted to a hospital right here on Tuesday resulting from a mind hemorrhage the place she breathed her final right here on Wednesday, in response to her household.
A number one girl of Pakistani movies from 1970s to 1980s, Firdous began her movie profession in 1963 with a film Fanoos’ through which she had a supporting position. She bought a break from film Malangi’ in 1965 and thereafter there was no wanting again. Her iconic position in Heer Ranjah’ made her probably the most sought-after actress in 1970s. Firdous carried out in over 150 Punjabi, Urdu and Pashto movies. She married to fellow actor Akmal Khan who died in 1967. Later she married actor Ijaz Durani who performed male lead in Heer Ranjah.’ She is survived by her three kids, two sons and a daughter.
