A new child baby was boy found close to Sri Vishwaradhya Gadduge in Abbetumkur village in Yadgir taluk on Monday.
The baby, rapped with fabric, was found when someone went for providing puja to the gadduge.
Officials of Women and Child Welfare Department and the police rushed the spot and rescued the baby.
Prabhakar, Deputy Director of Women and Child Welfare Department, advised The Hindu that the baby boy weighing 2.5 kg is wholesome.
The baby is getting remedy at Sick Newborn Care Unit ( SNCU) within the district hospital in Yadgir.
This is the second baby boy found in Yadgir. 15 days in the past a baby boy found close to Mundaragi village on the outskirts of Yadgir city.
The baby found on Monday will probably be shifted to Kalaburagi hospital tomorrow, Mr. Prabhakar stated.
