Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) skipper Dinesh Karthik has expressed his need to ensure rising star Shubman Gill has a simple journey with no stress. Gill struck an unbeaten 70 off 62 deliveries, in an innings comprising of 5 boundaries and two sixes to assist KKR chase down a goal of 143 towards SunRisers Hyderabad within the eighth match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. The opener’s knock enabled the Kolkata-based franchise to file their maiden win within the ongoing version.
“I want to make sure Gill is having an easy journey with no pressure,” stated the KKR skipper within the post-match presentation.
Karthik additional admitted that he was a bit emotional for pacer Kamlesh Nagarkoti who made his debut within the IPL, throughout the course of the conflict.
