The father of a minor boy, who was involved in a road accident that claimed three lives on the Mysuru-Bengaluru freeway on Thursday night time, has been arrested.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic and Crime) Geetha Prasanna stated the daddy of the boy, who was driving the four-wheeler involved in the accident, was produced earlier than the court docket and remanded in judicial custody.
Ramesh, 40, his spouse Usha, 36, and his daughter Monisha, 5, have been killed whereas Siddharth, 3, escaped with accidents, when the two-wheeler on which they have been returning to Mysuru from Siddalingapura on the outskirts of town was hit by the four-wheeler pushed by the 14-year-old boy round 10 p.m. on December 10.
The 14-year-old, who was driving the car, has been despatched to the juvenile dwelling, police stated.
After the boy deserted the four-wheeler and fled the spot, the police recovered his father’s identification card from the car. The four-wheeler belonged to a automotive showroom in Hootagalli in town and was meant for trials for purchasers.
The boy’s father had introduced the car dwelling with him and the boy had taken it for a drive, resulting in the ghastly accident, stated Ms. Prasanna including that the accident happened when the boy misplaced management of the dashing car on the freeway.
She stated the boy’s father was discovered to be ‘negligent’ in giving the car to a minor boy to drive, which was liable for the loss of three lives.

The three-year-old boy, who was injured in the accident, has been discharged from the hospital and handed over to kinfolk, she stated.
According to Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Sandesh Kumar, a case had been booked below Section 304 of the Indian Penal Code in opposition to the boy’s father, who’s now in judicial custody. This is the primary time such an incident has occurred in town, he added.
