Days forward of the Rajasthan Assembly session, the BJP shifted six of its MLAs to Gujarat’s Porbandar on Saturday. Amid fears of poaching, the six legislators left on a chartered flight from the Jaipur airport.
The saffron occasion has thus far despatched 23 of its MLAs to Gujarat out of which 18 are in Porbandar. According to sources, round 40 MLAs will likely be shifted to Gujarat amid studies of the Congress occasion led by Ashok Gehlot attempting to affect them.
The legislators will likely be staying at a luxurious resort there and sure to go to the Somnath temple, information company PTI reported.
BJP MLA Ashok Lahoti, who accompanied the six legislators to the Jaipur airport, stated they had been being “harassed” and voluntarily went on a pilgrimage. “Some BJP legislators are being harassed through police and the administration. Those legislators who are being harassed have gone on a pilgrimage voluntarily,” Lahoti informed reporters after popping out of the airport.
The BJP legislators who boarded the flight from the Jaipur airport on Saturday are Nirmal Kumawat, Gopichand Meena, Jabbar Singh Sankhla, Dharamveer Mochi, Gopal Lal Sharma and Gurudeep Singh Shahpini. The airport authorities too confirmed that six passengers had been on the flight to Porbandar.
Lahoti additionally accused the Congress and its leaders of harassing the BJP leaders.
