Senior Congress chief Ahmed Patel was laid to relaxation at his native village Piraman in Gujarat’s Bharuch district on Thursday.
Congress chief Rahul Gandhi attended the funeral of the social gathering’s key strategist and troubleshooter, who died on November 25.
Patel’s mortal stays reached Piraman from Vadodara and he was laid to relaxation at a Muslim cemetery within the presence of a whole lot of locals and Congress leaders.
The mortal stays reached Vadodara airport on November 25 evening and had been stored on the Sardar Patel Hospital at Ankleshwar city of Bharuch district.
After touchdown at Surat airport on November 26 morning, Mr. Gandhi reached Piraman by street and met the grieving members of the family of the previous Congress MP at their ancestral dwelling.
When Mr. Gandhi reached there, a whole lot of locals and Congress staff had been current to pay tributes to Patel.
Paying his final respects, Mr. Gandhi threw some soil on Patel’s mortal stays. Congress chief Sonia Gandhi despatched flowers to pay her final respects to the previous colleague.
Patel was laid to relaxation after the ultimate ‘namaz’ was provided. As per Patel’s needs, he was buried subsequent to the graves of his mother and father.
Gujarat Congress president Amit Chavda, Congress in- cost for Gujarat Rajeev Satav, chief of Congress in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, and former Chief Ministers Kamal Nath and Shankersinh Vaghela had been amongst those that attended the funeral.
Patel (71) died in a Gurugram hospital on Wednesday following problems associated to COVID- 19.
