Sixteen folks trapped in a coal mine in southwest China’s Chongqing Municipality on Sunday had been killed because of the presence of extreme ranges of carbon monoxide, official media reported.
The incident occurred when the burning belts in the mine brought about the carbon monoxide to exceed security restrict, trapping 17 folks inside, state-run Xinhua information company reported.
A 75-member rescue crew has entered the mine and 30 medical employees have rushed to the scene, it stated.
One one that survived the accident was rushed to the hospital, CGTN TV reported.
The extreme ranges of carbon monoxide had been detected in the mine at round 12:30 am.
The accident occurred on the Songzao coal mine in Qijiang district. It belongs to an area power firm, in response to the district authorities.
