Fifteen lakh electrical energy division staff together with junior engineers, sub-divisional officers, govt engineers and superintending engineers will go on a day-long boycott of labor on Monday to oppose the proposal of privatising energy distribution firm Purvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited.

The district convener of Vidhyut Karamchari Sanyukt Sangharsh Samiti Avdhesh Kumar instructed PTI on Sunday that the central authorities is bent upon privatising the ability sector. The protest could be held from morning to night on Monday and would proceed until the demand just isn’t fulfilled.

Almost all associations of engineers would participate in the protest,” Mr Kumar mentioned.
